Based on my understanding, there is no indication that animals are resurrected nor need to be.
Ecclesiastes 12:7 Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.
Ecclesiastes 3:21 Who knoweth the spirit of man that goeth upward, and the spirit of the beast that goeth downward to the earth?
Man is not the same as an animal: they are totally of the earth, man is created in the image of, and his spirit comes from, God. Men are morally responsible, animals are not.
