Why does God liken Israel to the Ethiopians?
Are ye not as children of the Ethiopians unto me, O children of Israel? saith the LORD. Have not I brought up Israel out of the land of Egypt? and the Philistines from Caphtor, and the Syrians from Kir?
Amos 9:7
Jeremiah 13:23 Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or the leopard his spots? then may ye also do good, that are accustomed to do evil.
God has given Israel many many chances to change their ways and do good but they refused. They are so accustomed to doing evil the Lord likens them to the Ethiopian who cannot change his skin or as the leopard that cannot change his spots.
