Exodus 3:14 – I AM
And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.
I have been asked from time to time, What is the meaning of God stating,‘ “I Am That I Am”?
I AM means that he just IS: I AM, I IS, I ARE, I BE. God is what he is, and that is all there is to it. There is no explaining where he came from, he just IS, he ARE, he BE, always has been and always will be.
Psalms 90:2 Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.
Isaiah 57:15 For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.
Deuteronomy 32:39-40 See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand. 40For I lift up my hand to heaven, and say, I live for ever.
It is simple but profound. This is the bane of Satan; he has been trying to kill God since his fall. In fact, that is what the wicked, atheist, and other God-deniers are trying to do. So do not feel bad for those who reject Him.
